Below are the questions we are asked most often at reception. Anything else — call 020 7946 0518 and ask; we would rather answer a question than have you wonder about it on the table.

Your questions, answered

Do I need to book, or can I just walk in?
Both work. Walk-ins are genuinely welcome — if a room and a therapist are free, we will take you straight through. For a specific time, treatment or therapist, call 020 7946 0518 ahead. Friday and Saturday evenings are the busiest.
How long does a treatment take?
Every treatment comes in 30, 45 or 60 minute versions. Allow ten minutes on top for a short chat beforehand and to get dressed afterwards.
What should I wear?
Come as you are. For oil based treatments you undress to your level of comfort and are covered with towels throughout, with only the area being worked on uncovered. For a dry Thai massage, loose clothing is best. For reflexology you stay fully clothed.
Which massage should I choose?
Tui Na to switch off, deep tissue for stubborn knots and sports strain, Thai for stretching and mobility, reflexology to be treated head to toe through the feet. Undecided? Describe the problem at reception and we will suggest one.
How much pressure will be used?
Whatever you ask for. Your therapist will check in as they work, and you can ask for more or less pressure at any point — it will not offend anyone.
How do I pay, and is a tip expected?
Cash or card at the studio after your treatment. Nothing is payable in advance and there is no deposit. Tips are appreciated but never expected.
Can I book a treatment for someone else?
Yes. Call the studio and we will arrange a gift voucher for any treatment and any length.
Is there anything that would stop me being treated?
Tell your therapist beforehand if you are pregnant, have had recent surgery, have a fracture, blood clots, a skin infection or are undergoing treatment for a serious condition. In some cases we will adapt the treatment; occasionally we will ask you to check with your doctor first.
Should I eat before a massage?
Avoid a heavy meal in the hour before — a light snack is fine. Drink some water afterwards, especially after deep tissue work.
How often should I come?
For a specific problem, weekly until it settles. For general maintenance, most regulars come once every two to four weeks.
Do you offer outcall, hotel or home visits?
Treatments are carried out at the studio at 14 Rupert Street. Call us to discuss anything else.
Where exactly are you and how do I get there?
14 Rupert Street, Soho, London W1D 6DN — three minutes from Piccadilly Circus, four from Leicester Square. Full directions are on the Find Us page.
